Show goers urged to snap up tickets for Cosford Air Show 2009
Air Show are
forecasting a bumper crowd for this year's event and today urged people not to
miss out as the tickets fly from the shelves.
Tickets for the event on June 14 are on sale at an increased
number of sales outlets this year – at reduced prices compared with the
admission price on the day.
And with organisers promising a day not to forget ticket sales are
doing well across the country.
Air Show Co-ordinator Norman Branagh says: "We have put
together a display featuring a wide range of aircraft embracing historic
machines and the latest combat aircraft, it is going to be fantastic."
For 2009 the five-hour flying display will include a visit from
the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Royal Navy Black
Cats, a Chinook, a Hawk, the RAF Falcons, the Royal Navy Historic Flight, a
Spitfire, a Chipmunk, The Blades team of aerobatic pilots, a Typhoon, a
Vampire, the Army Helicopter display team The Eagles and much much more.
Tickets for the show are available at local branch offices of the
Shropshire Star, the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, branches of the Mid
Counties Co-Operative Society as detailed on the air show website, Tourist
Information Centres in Birmingham (Rotunda), Stafford (Gatehouse Theatre) and
Stoke (Victoria Hall), the special air show ticket line on 0871 230 1083, and
an internet booking service at (Special Events; Air Shows; RAF Cosford).

Arriva Trains Wales has put on extra services to ensure the
thousands of people travelling to the event by rail get there in time for the

encouraged by the high level of ticket sales this year. It points to a strong
interest in Cosford Air Show, now established as one of the top summer events
in the Midlands.
"We do not want anyone to miss out and are urging everyone
